What it Means
APID Members are distinguished by their affiliation allowing the public and clients to understand immediately that one is dealing with an experienced and qualified professional. Look out for the appropriate APID logo when hiring an interior designer.

Professional Interior Designers with the relevant studies and pertinent years of experience as attested by APID and can proudly use this logo below. Ask for their APID Certificate for verification when hiring an interior designer. (click to view)
Associate Members have studied Interior Design and have not yet achieved the necessary years experience to be promoted to professional category. Please contact APID to verify the specific experience of any Associate Member. (click to view)
Allied Members work alongside interior designers/architects to complete the team committed to delivering functional, practical and innovative design spaces. They have completed studies in related fields such as technical drafting, 3D rendering or art history, for example, and can proudly use this logo. (click to view)
Company Members are Interior Design consultancies that do the majority of their work in providing a full scope of design services and employ professional interior designers. These firms may often specialize in residential, hospitality, commerical or retail design. Interior Design firms which are members of APID proudly display this logo and can be asked to produce their APID Certificate for verification purposes. (click to view)
Industry Members are firms that provide products & services for interiors. These companies range from fit-out contractors to furniture, fabric, flooring, kitchen, bathroom, fixtures, products & materials providers. Firms that provide specialized service to the interior design community such as various types of production, lighting or landscape design also qualify as Industry members. Student Members is for students enrolled in an accredited interior design or interior architecture program. (click to view)
Student Chapters are a group of students who collectively formed an APID chapter within their university. (click to view)
Institutional Members are Universities/Institutions that run accredited interio design courses. (click to view)
